By August 2022, the Culture Information Systems Centre (KISC) shall implement cooperation in the project “digitisation of the content of the cultural heritage” supported by the European Union (Round 1 and Round 2), administered by the Latvian National Library in cooperation with partners - the National Heritage Council, the National Archives of Latvia and THE KISC. The project's main objective is to ensure the wide availability of Latvian cultural heritage in the digital environment, which serves as a basis for strengthening national identity, for the development of cultural, scientific, public knowledge and creative industries, and to ensure the long-term preservation of the national cultural heritage in digital form, re-use of it in new products and services, as well as integration into the unified European and world digital digital space.
